Clarinet/Sax/Music Theory/Composition Lessons
James offers personalised lessons for every single pupil that can be taught in person or online. Lessons can be working towards any music grades the pupil wants to do or just for fun. With a focus on improving weaknesses and cultivating a passion for music, James delivers the lessons passionately to help the pupil engage with each lesson.
James is one of a kind, you don't find many like him out in the wild. The approach he has taken since the first lesson is exactly what I was looking for exploring not just the traditional aspects of the alto sax but a more personal experience. He wants you to be who you are and no one else, leaving you with a huge boost of inspiration to keep playing and adapting your style. Even though I've never met the man I'd consider him a friend. Thank you James, we've still got a lot of work to do but I'm excited for the journey!
James is an enthusiastic tutor with bright, lively and cheerful personality. He is punctual and always turns up with a brilliant spirit. He recognises and appreciates my son’s effort, which then helps encouraging and motivating him to practise clarinet everyday.
He communicates very well with my teenage boy and is generous in sharing his knowledge by answering any questions that my son has in clarinet. He teaches at my son’s own learning pace as he always ask to make sure if he is confident to move on to the next challenge. We are very happy with James.

James has been amazing with teaching my son Mason.
Mason is a complete beginner, who has had numerous issues with his clarinet, but James always makes him feel confident and engaged with the lessons.
He has been incredibly patient with my sons learning, and very helpful with any questions I ask. Mason looks forward to his lessons each week with James, and even the homework practice!
I had so far just 2 lessons with James and feel how much he has already widened my understanding of the basics of saxophone playing. He is very responsive to the type of music I want to play and I’m really happy with the musical ideas James suggests. Huge difference after months of attempts to learn from Youtube! Thank you, James
